Code Compliance Inspection

Our inspectors are certified through the BOABC (Building Officials Association of BC).  This is the same certification authority of Municipal Building Inspectors .  

There are many rural areas in Canada where the Authority having Jurisdiction does not require Building Permits.  

Even though these areas do not require building permits and inspections, there are  important factors that must be considered:

1. The BC Building Code sentence 1.2.1.2 (1) states "the owner of a building shall be the person responsible for carrying our the provisions of this code in relation to that building.

2. All homes in BC must be registered with the BC Housing.  BC housing also requires that all new buildings meet the requirements of the BC Building Code

3. Lending Institutions offering construction mortgages are starting to require building inspections to confirm compliance with the BC Building Code..

4. insurance companies may request confirmation that new builds confirm compliance with the BC Building Code.
